Since last fall, the City of Duluth Parks Division has been working closely with Hartley Nature Center and the public on potential future improvements for Hartley Park.

After a lengthy discussion, the Parks Commission unanimously voted to recommend the Plan to the City Council at their regular monthly meeting on July 9 and the Duluth City Council unanimously approved the Hartley Master Plan on July 21, 2014.

City staff and our consultants are currently reviewing all the comments. Chester Park is a well-loved park with a variety of possible recreational amenities. This is evident from the thoughtful comments we have received. Staff are carefully considering all comments and will take the needed time to do this.
