Planning CommissionThe Planning Commission makes recommendations or decisions on land use applications and meets the second Tuesday of every month.
Historic Preservation CommissionThe Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) designates historic resources and makes decisions on construction/demolition permits for historic properties.
Environmental Assessment WorksheetsThe Planning Commission is the Responsible Governmental Unit (RGU) and conducts reviews of Environmental Assessment Worksheets (EAWs). Small Area Plans & Other InitiativesIncludes Small Area Plans, studies examining future use of Duluth school sites, the Skyline Parkway Corridor Management Plan, and the Woodland Business District Study. Sign CodeThe Planning Division is in the process of updating the sign/advertisment section of the UDC. Public meetings where held in early February to hear from business, citizens, and other stakeholders. The intent is to have a rough draft of the revised language avaialbe for citizen comment around mid to late May. An additional round of public meetings will be held.
