City Invites Public to Neighborhood Forums
[Duluth, MN] - Each year the City of Duluth receives federal funding to assist low income persons and neighborhoods, to improve housing, public services, economic development and public facilities. To assist in how these funds are distributed, the City’s Community Development Office will conduct two public forums. These forums provide residents an opportunity to inform the city about neighborhood issues and needs.
The first forum is scheduled for Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at the Harrison Community Center, 3002 West 3rd Street with discussion focused on Lincoln Park, West Duluth, and Morgan Park neighborhoods.
The second forum is scheduled for Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 6:30 pm in the Grant Community Center, 901 East 11th Street and will focus on the Hillside neighborhood. Residents are invited to attend, share their input and have some ice cream!
The public is also encouraged to participate in the Community Development Online Forum which is open through May 25, 2012. Different topics will be posted allowing the public to provide comments and insight into the needs of low income persons and neighborhoods. The topics will change every two days, so the public is encouraged to visit the page multiple times until May 25th. The forum can be accessed from the City Community Development webpage or the following link: http://www.duluthmn.gov/community_development/
For those unable to attend, comments can be submitted to Keith Hamre at:
