On Monday, September 23rd, 2013 at 9:24PM Duluth Police were called to the Lake Avenue and 4th Street on a vehicle prowl in progress.
Officers arrived and found the suspect Daniel David Ojanen, a 35 year old male resident of Duluth standing next to a vehicle with a broken passenger window. He was drinking a beer and eating potato chips that he stole from one of the vehicles. OJANEN admitted that he had broken the window out of one vehicle and attempted to break windows on two others using a rock. Also, officers located methamphetamine and a syringe on Ojanen.

2002-Gross Misdemeanor False Name to Police
2003-4th Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct & 3rd Degree Assault
2005-2 counts of 4th Degree Sale of Controlled Substance
2008-Obstructing Legal Process (Gross Misdemeanor), Check Forgery (Felony)
2010-Felony 5th Degree Possession of Controlled Substance and Check Forgery (Felony)
OJANEN was transported to the Saint Louis County Jail for Possession of Methamphetamine, 3 counts of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle, Theft and Drinking in Public.
