To build a system that provides a skilled, diverse and adaptable workforce to meet existing and future labor market needs and to increase prosperity in the community.

Program Information

The City of Duluth, Duluth Workforce Development, has been serving the Duluth, Minnesota community since 1986, with quality employment services. We specialize in providing individualized services to program participants and employers alike.

The office provides a number of employment, job training, and career assistance programs for individuals who are out of work or who have suffered job loss for a variety of reasons. It also provides information for employers who may be considering employing individuals who have participated in these programs.

Duluth Workforce Development also provides services to recipients of Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP), and related public assistance programs, under a contract with St. Louis County. These services are intended to assist participants in finding employment, achieving self-sufficiency and moving off of assistance - click here
