National Night Out

Building relationships and ensuring the safety of our community are at the center of the mission of the Duluth Police Department.

The annual National Night Out event is on Tuesday, August 4th. Our goal is to be able to attend every neighborhood community event to interact with members of the public!

East Events:

Summit School 1600 N 8th Ave E 5:30 - 7 pm We are a local early childhood education center here in Duluth. We will have our playgrounds open to those who join.   
Britt & Leon Rohrbaugh 121 Chester Parkway 5 - 9 pm Lemonade and fried chicken will be provided.  Please bring something to share, if you are able!

Lisa Sturm 4532 Tioga St 5 - 9 pm Bring a lawn chair, your favorite meat to grill and a dish to share (if you dish requires a spoon, please bring one). The road will blocked of around 4:45 PM - please use caution if driving.  Barricades will be taken down at 9:00 PM. If needed, you may carefully drive past the barricades before then.  We'll provide condiments, plasticware and paper plates - you just bring your own chair, beverage, the food and the fun!  Rumor has it the Minnesota Monster's DJ, Jesse Jaze, will be spinning a few tracks! Zeitgeist Center for Arts & Community 500 E 10th St (JS Print parking lot) 5 - 7:30 pm The Hillside Night Out at the Farm will include food from Whole Foods Co-op, activities for all ages and a chance to connect with your neighbors. Stop by and say hi!  
Carrie Ryan 232 Garden St 5:30 - 7:30 pm Bring a dish to share, your own beverages and chairs if you have them.  We will provide a grill, condiments and utensils.  
Cindy & Dave Moen 810 Northland Dr 5:30 - 8 pm Potluck  
Allyz Kramer Polacsek & Bart Polacsek Branch St between S 30th Ave E & S Hawthorne Rd 5 - 9 pm All are welcome to this neighborhood potluck. Attendees are asked to bring a dish to pass. A grill is provided: BYO burgers/hot dogs/brats/buns. Lemonade & water, condiments, utensils/plates/napkins provided.  Kids bike parade, yard games, sidewalk chalk and family/friends share an evening together.   
Ben & Katey Fornear 4320 Luverne St 5:30 - 9 pm Join us for an evening to spend time with our neighbors! The street will be closed off for the kids to play. Brats will be provided, otherwise bring a dish to pass if you wish.

Kaylinn Stormo 328 N 54th Ave W 5 - 8 pm Come get to know your neighbors. This is a neighborhood potluck. Attendees are asked to bring a dish to share. Please mark your name on anything your bring. Lake Superior YMCA at Harbor Highlands 1225 Harbor Highlands Dr 4 - 6 pm This event will flow out of our regular scheduled youth programming in to an event open to the public from 4 pm to 6 pm. There will be a school supply giveaway for youth. There will be two $50 gift cards to adults who participate. Event includes: smores, music, making snacks, collaborative activities with community educators, and a walk through presentation of Harbor Highlands Youth 4H projects.
